Welcome to The East Wind Guesthouse on beautiful Cape Sable Island!
I'm Louise, an active senior and passionate traveller. A transplant from Toronto, I arrived at this island paradise in 2014 seeking a retirement place out of the hustle and bustle of the big city. When I saw the property, I knew that I would make my home here. I loved the location, sea air and the spectacular beaches of this quiet harbour town. The house had been neglected and had sat empty for many years, but the property was large and the house was a perfect size, so with the help of a talented local carpenter we proceeded to gut and re-build from the ground up.
Over the next two years, we completely renovated my home with the idea to accommodate friends, family and guests visiting Cape Sable Island. We formally opened for business in 2016 and since then, I have been fortunate enough to host many wonderful visitors from Canada and all over the world.
We offer a full (delicious) breakfast and will prepare lunch, box lunches and gourmet dinners on request. I also provide tour recommendations about Nova Scotia and am happy to suggest itineraries to suit your interests.
